Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Taj Usha Kiran Palace, I had the opportunity to dine at two delightful venues on the property, each offering a different taste of culinary innovation and atmosphere. The Silver Saloon, a multi-cuisine restaurant, provided a lovely setting with its garden view. I enjoyed the ambiance, enhanced by the sounds of classical music from the Gwalior Gharana that added a soothing touch to the dining experience. The menu was expansive, featuring local, Asian, and European dishes. I opted for some Asian-inspired selections, and while the presentation was pleasant, the flavors did not particularly stand out. It appeared that the breakfast served was more aligned with general preferences, focusing less on spiciness, likely to cater to a wider audience. Conversely, the Bada Bar offered an intriguing twist on the culinary experience. While it primarily served Indian and international favorites, it also provided an excellent setting for relaxation, enhanced by its elegant décor and a large billiards table that added a social aspect to the space. Dining at Taj Usha Kiran Palace provided a glimpse into their culinary offerings, albeit with some aspects needing more innovation in flavors.
